Career Resource Forum

Annual Event: April 23, 2004

DALLAS AREA VOICE ON CAREER ISSUES

Each of us in one of the career related practices has "the answers" from our perspective. However, for those we serve, the answers are much more complex and challenging.

The Career Resource Forum, a community based approach to access career oriented information, brought together the many voices of career oriented assistance in its annual FORUM on April 23rd.

Career Alignment: Expanding Your Toolkit To Make Right Choices

Morning Roundtable: ASSESSMENT to determine a good fit... creating an interpretation dialog using MBTI, Strong and other tools.  Presenters: Cheri Butler, UTA Career Center, Brian Allen, Southwest Airlines, and Chuck Canfield, The Strategic Process Group.

Luncheon Address, Featuring Dr. Bernard Weinstein, Director of the Center for Economic Development and Research at UNT and of the Institute for Applied Economics .

Afternoon Roundtable: Creation and execution of a Personal Career Plan. Presenters: Lisa Miller of Career Connections and Bob Maher, Optîmance.

The Committee honors and thanks those who participated in this year's Forum. Facilitators, presenters and audience all shared in a unique learning experience, truly creating the "interactive learning" that will  make IT happen.

WHAT PARTICIPANTS WERE SAYING...
